Heating system is facilities comprising a source of energy, a procedure of transformation that energy to heat, and a transfer system to forward the heat and energy to the point of use. We can also define heating system as utility to warm a house. It maintains temperatures at a suitable level inside an office, home, or other quarters. Nearly all heating systems contain some automatic or manual method of the heat power and delivery control.
Heating embrace a number of energy sources for use. The oldest source, and still most familiar in developing countries, covers such products as paper, kindling-wood, and sawdust; peat is used in several societies. The use of solar energy has become prevalent as regards heating and electrical creation, while economics depresses more general use. There are various ways according to which source of energy is converting into heat. Fossil fuel and wood transformed by combustion procedure, or the burning. To convert electricity directly into heat, resistance heaters are exploited. As for solar energy, it requires collectors, with conversion to heat or electrical energy.
Heat can be delivered to the point of use by many methods. There are several forms the radiation systems could take. Cast-iron column radiators, using hot water or steam, have been forced out chiefly by convector radiators which use electrical energy, steam, or hot water. Now and then in ceilings or in floors panel-type radiators are used as well. Piping or electrical distribution system is necessary for all of them. Forced warm-air heating with electric motor-driven ventilators, is widespread.
